SLVLL Opening Day

Saturday, March 14th, 2026

Let's kick off the 2026 season with our annual Opening Day at SLVHS!  We have a full day of starting with the ceremony at 9am.  We hope to see as many families and the community at large attend as we celebrate another year of baseball in the Valley.  Please see the schedule below for times and please don't forget to arrive early.   

Opening Ceremony - The ceremony starts promptly at 9am on the SLVHS Softball field.  Players will meet with their Manager outside of the field prior to walking on to the diamond.  

Pictures - Our pictures will take place adjacent to the SLVHS Girls Softball field (AAA outfield). Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your picture day time slot so we can stay on time. Please come to picture day with your order form in hand. Everyone must have an order form even if you are receiving the league's free photo package. Click here for the schedule as well as the link to the order form.

Games - We have a full slate of games to kick off the season, with first pitch starting at 1pm and continuing into the late afternoon games starting at 3:30 & 4pm.
          1pm:
- White Soxs vs. Marlins (Majors)
-  Rivercats vs. Yardgoats (AAA)
- Athletics vs. Giants (AA)
  3:30pm:
- Rangers vs. Cardinals (AA)
  4pm:
- Giants vs. Athletics (Majors)
- Hooks vs. Emeralds (AAA)

Merchandise - We will have all new merchandise available for purchase on Opening Day including hats, shirts, tote bags, and more! Find our merchandise table located behind the Majors bleachers right next to the Snack Shack!

Livescan - For our managers, coaches and team parents who still need to provide their fingerprints for Livescan, we will have the service available at the high school fields.  Just look for the Livescan Pop-Up. This is only required once per lifetime for all qualifying volunteers.

Snack Shack - Our Snack Shack will be open all day long, including before the Opening Ceremony.  Drop in and get a bite to start your day, or stick around for a burger, hot dog, or burrito and catch a game.  We've got you covered .

Limited Parking - The high school junior varsity and varsity baseball teams are hosting home games during the day on Saturday. Although their games start after our opening ceremonies, parking may be limited so please plan accordingly when returning for your picture time.

We are excited to see all the preparation come together this Saturday and are looking forward to seeing everyone taking part in such a wonderful community event. Go SLV!
